The big league team was off, so I assume all was quiet in Met-land yesterday….right? Buffalo 6, Charlotte 2 (5 innings) John Lujan pitched two shutout innings for the win, but there wasn’t much to talk about prospect-wise in this one. Dylan Owen started but didn’t last too long, giving up two runs in three innings. Val Pascucci was 1 for 2 with 3 RBI….so there’s that. Binghamton @ New Britain (rained out)Daytona 8, St. Lucie 3 Cesar Peullo went 2 for 5 with a run, and now has a seven game hitting streak. Jefry Marte also went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Reese Haven had a 1 for 4 night, dropping his batting average to a paltry .429. Tobi Stoner took the hill, but was roughed up for 5 runs in 5 innings. No Met pitcher issued a walk though, for what it’s worth. Savannah 1, Greenville 0 Ahhhh, a nice old fashioned pitching duel. Though, sorry to say, each team out-errored it’s scoring (2 for Savannah, 1 for Greenville – the one run scored was unearned). Chase Huchingson, Erik Goeddel, Gabriel Zavala, and Hamilton Bennett (and his moustache of doom) combined for the shutout. Huchingson got the ‘W’, Bennett the save. Robbie Shields had his 12 game hit streak snapped.
