Last night on the farm a couple pitchers had 1st inning difficulty, the B-Mets brought their bats to the ballpark, and a Mets prospect got ejected.  Let’s take a look: Las Vegas 6, Salt Lake 5Carlos Torres struck out 10, while allowing just 2 runs in 7 innings to get the win.  Josh Edgin gave up 3 runs to make it close, giving David Aardsma a chance to get the save.  Francisco Pena was 3 for 4.  Reese Haves was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.  Josh Satin and Kirk Nieuwenhuis both homered.  Wilmer Flores was 1 for 4 at the plate while playing first base in the field, but that doesn’t mean he’s coming up for Ike. Portland 10, Binghamton 9Cory Mazzoni let up a 4-spot in the 1st inning before settling down and allowing 5 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts.  Dylan Owen gave up 3 more runs and Jeff Walters let up 2 runs in the 9th, taking the loss.  Josh Rodriguez had 3 hits, including a double.  Wilfredo Tovar was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and an RBI.  Allan Dykstra was 2 for 3 with a double, 2 walks, and an RBI.  Blake Forsythe was 2 for 5 with a homer and 3 strikeouts.  Cesar Puello hit is 7th homer of the season.  Cory Vaughn and Danny Muno also doubled. Bradenton 8, St. Lucie 6Domingo Tapia got knocked around, recording only 1 out and allowing 6 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks.  This has happened in the past with Tapia, where for whatever reason he just doesn’t have it and gets knocked out in the 1st inning.  Jim Fuller and Chasen Bradford both pitched 2 scoreless innings each.  Aderlin Rodriguez was 3 for 5 with an RBI.  After an awful April, A-Rod is hitting .329/.364/.634 in May.  Matt Reynolds and Travis Taijeron had 2 hits each.  Charley Thurber doubled and drove in 2 runs. Savannah 6, Augusta 5Matt Koch got the win after giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits in 5 innings of work.  He struck out 5 and walked none, but he also gave up 2 homeruns in such a big ballpark.  Julian Hilario struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings and Beck Wheeler notched his 4th save of the year.  Kevin Plawecki was 2 for 3 with a homer, a walk, and 4 RBI’s.  Jayce Boyd and Yucary De La Cruz also had 2 hits each.  Maikis De La Cruz was 3 for 4 with a double.  Stefan Sabol doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Phillip Evans was 0 for 3, committed 2 errors (16 on the season), and was ejected arguing balls and strikes after striking out looking in the 5th (not his first ejection of the season).
