Here’s the last day of May down on the farm: Las Vegas 7, Reno 0D.J. Mitchell managed to throw 6 shutout innings, despite allowing 6 hits and 5 walks.  Justin Hampson, Josh Edgin, and David Aardsma all pitched a scoreless inning.  Collin Cowgill was 3 for 3 with a solo homer.  Jamie Hoffman was 2 for 4 with a double, a grand slam, and 5 RBI’s.  Wilmer Flores was hit by the pitch and then left the game after scoring on Hoffman's grand slam. New Hampshire 8, Binghamton 7Logan Verrett got whacked for the first time this year, allowing 8 runs on 11 hits in 5 plus innings.  Later in the game, Jack Leathersich struck out the side.  Darrell Ceciliani and Blake Forsythe were both 2 for 4 with a double.  Richard Lucas, Josh Rodriguez, and Wilfredo Tovar all doubled.  Forsythe, Lucas, and Tovar all drove in 2 runs apiece. St. Lucie was rained out and will have a double-header today. Savannah 6, Kannapolis 2Jake Kuebler started and let up 2 runs over 4 innings.  Julian Hilario followed with 3 shutout innings to get the win.  Beck Wheeler and Bret Mitchell each struck out 2 in scoreless inning of work.  Maikis De La Cruz was 3 for 5 with a 2-run homer.  Yucary De La Cruz was 2 for 3 with a double.  Each trident of NimBoyEcki was 1 for 4.
