Much like the Mets, the clubs on the farm bounced back from a winless day.  Let’s take a look:

Reno 4, Las Vegas 3

Darin Gorski made his return to Vegas and let up 3 runs on 7 hits over 6.1 innings, striking out 5 and walking 2.  John Church allowed Gorski’s inherited runners to score and 1 of his own to get the blown save and the loss.  Omar Quintanilla, Josh Satin, and Andrew Brown all doubled.

New Britain 3, Binghamton 2

Matt Bowman struck out 12 over 7 innings, but he also gave up 3 runs on 10 hits and took the loss.  Kyle Johnson and Matt Clark had 3 hits each.  Jayce Boyd was 2 for 3 with 2 walks.

St. Lucie 4, Daytona 3

Gabriel Ynoa allowed 1 run in 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4.  Chase Huchingson got the final out to pick up the save.  Jairo Perez tripled, homered, and drove in 3 runs.  Brandon Nimmo missed his second straight game with conjunctivitis.  Fort Myers was rained out, so now St. Lucie is tied for first place heading down the stretch of the first half.

Savannah 6, Rome 2

Robert Gsellman had another strong outing, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) over 7 innings, striking out 4.  Akeel Morris struck out the side in the 8th and Tim Peterson finished things off in the 9th.  L.J. Mazzilli was 2 for 4 with a double.  Champ Stuart returned from the DL and went 2 for 4 with a homer and 3 RBI’s.  Dominic Smith was 1 for 2 with 2 walks, while Gavin Cecchini was 0 for 5, but did drive in a run.
