Casey Fossum gave up the first 3, failing to get out of the 5th. Justin Hampson gave up 2 more and Taylor Tankersley gave up the final 3, but did strike out 5 in 2 innings. Just 5 total hits for the Bisons, including a double by Val Pascucci, but that was about it.Binghamton 4, New Hampshire 0, Game 1The B-Mets got the organization’s lone win on the day in the first game of a doubleheader. Dylan Owen made his first AA start and pitched 5 scoreless innings, striking out 3 and getting the win. After leaving yesterday’s game early, Jordany Valdespin returned to the lineup going 1-4. Josh Satin struck out twice, but also had a couple hits including a 2-run homer in the 3rd, which was all the B-Mets would need with some good pitching to get the win.New Hampshire 2, Binghamton 1, Game 2Game 2 went 9 innings (2 extra for a doubleheader game), with Edgar Ramirez starting and giving up 1 run in 4 innings. Roy Merritt and Erik Turgeon combined for 4.1 shutout innings, but Eric Niesen let up a run in the bottom of the 9th. After 9 innings across 11 appearances, Niesen has an ERA of 14. Just 5 hits from the B-Mets in game 2, with Brahaim Maldonado and Jose Coronado getting 2 each, but not enough to get more than 1 run across the board.Rome 3, Savannah 0The Gnats got some good pitching, but couldn’t push any runs across the board. Erik Goeddel went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, and striking out 5. Chase Huchingson followed for 3 innings, giving up an unearned run on 4 hits with 3 strikeouts. Cory Vaughn had 3 hits including a double, and Darrell Ceciliani got going with a couple hits. Aderlin Rodriguez was hitless, dropping his average below the Mendoze line, and committed 3 errors in the field.
