With the Mets having an off day, no one was able to ruin the organization’s perfect night.  Let’s have a look:


Las Vegas 16, Salt Lake 4


Logan Verrett scattered 10 hits over 5 innings, giving up 4 runs while striking out 4, but got the win after another offensive outburst from the 51s.  In the 4th inning, Allan Dykstra, Zach Lutz, Taylor Teagarden, and Brandon Allen hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back homeruns.  Lutz had 3 hits and drove in 5 runs.  Allen was 5 for 6.  Andrew Brown also homered while going 3 for 4.  Eric Campbell was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Danny Muno was 2 for 6 with a double and 2 RBI’s.


Binghamton 12, Harrisburg 6


Darin Gorski had another nice outing, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits over 6 innings, striking out 7 and walking 1.  Jayce Boyd is heating up; he went 2 for 3 with a double, homer, and 4 RBI’s.  Boyd has 10 hits, including 2 homers in his last 5 games.  Kevin Plawecki and Matt Reynolds had 2 hits each, as did Gorski, who doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Travis Taijeron also homered.


St. Lucie 4, Palm Beach 2


Domingo Tapia continues to be solid, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, walking 2 and striking out 2.  Seth Lugo piggybacked for 3 shutout innings, striking out 3.  Beck Wheeler struck out 2 in a scoreless inning to pick up his 4th save of the season.  T.J. Rivera, Gilbert Gomez, Aderlin Rodriguez, and Robbie Shields all had 2 hits each.  Brandon Nimmo and Dilson Herrea were both hitless.


Savannah 5, West Virginia 3


Dario Alvarez made the spot start and gave up his first runs of the season, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) in 2.2 innings.  Dawrin Frias got the win after pitching 2.1 scoreless innings in relief.  Tim Peterson threw 2.1 scoreless innings and Robert Coles struck out 3 in 1.2 shutout innings; Coles recorded his 6th save and still hasn’t allowed a run in 13.1 innings.  Patrick Biondi, Victor Cruzado, Jonathan Leroux, and Dominic Smith all had 2 hits each.  Cruzado homered and Smith drove in 2 runs.  Gavin Cecchini doubled in the 1st inning to extend his hitting streak to 10 games, but then left the game with an apparent right knee injury.
