Last night on the farm one team couldn’t get a hit while another team couldn’t stop getting hits.  There were also some stellar pitching performances.  In other news, Jenrry Mejia is expected to pitch for St. Lucie this weekend, his first appearance since early in spring when he went down with forearm tendinitis.  Now let’s get to the games: Las Vegas 6, Round Rock 5Chris Schwinden threw 6 shutout innings, but ran into trouble in the 7th.  He ended up going 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits with 1 walk and no strikeouts.  Gonzalez Germen allowed 2 more runs before getting out of the 7th.  Greg Peavey threw a scoreless inning to get the win and Greg Burke threw a scoreless inning to get the save.  Collin Cowgill doubled twice and walked twice, as he finally has started showing patience at the plate.  Josh Satin, Zach Lutz, and Juan Centeno each had 2 hits.  Centeno and Kirk Nieuwenhuis each doubled; Kirk also struck out twice.  Lutz and Wilmer Flores each homered. Harrisburg 6, Binghamton 1Despite scoring a run, the B-Mets had 0 hits on the night, as starter Paul Demny threw 8 shutout innings and Ian Krol pitched a perfect 9th inning for Harrisburg.  Allan Dykstra drew all 3 walks the B-Mets had.  Cesar Puello’s hit streak came to an end.  Jacob deGrom started and once again struggled early, allowing 3 runs in the first 2 innings, before settling in and allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 9 hits over 5.2 innings, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.  Chase Huchingson walked 2 and struck out 4 with 2.1 scoreless and hitless innings. St. Lucie 17, Palm Beach 1There was a lot hitting and run scoring in this one, so try to keep up.  Matt Reynolds was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, a triple, and 5 RBI’s.  Gilbert Gomez was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Robbie Shields was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Travis Taijeron was 2 for 4 with a double.  Cam Maron was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Aderlin Rodriguez was the only Met without a hit, going 0-6.  Somehow, the Lucies scored 17 runs, 16 earned, without a homerun.  On the mound, Noah Syndergaard let in 1 run on 4 hits over 7 innings, walking 1 and striking out 7.  T.J. Chism struck out 2 in 2 scoreless frames. Savannah 3, Rome 1Steven Matz allowed 1 run in 6 innings of work, striking out 4.  The run he allowed came on a homerun.  Hunter Carnevale and Bret Mitchell combined for 3 shutout innings to secure the win for matz, his 2nd of the year.  Jayce Boyd was hitless, while Kevin Plawecki was double-less, going 1 for 3 with a walk.  Eudy Pina, Cole Frenzel, Jeff Glenn, and Maikis De La Cruz all had 2 hits each.  De La Cruz takes the roster place of Brandon Nimmo, who was added to the disabled list.
