Last night on the farm, Zack Wheeler made his last minor-league start before his debut next week in Atlanta, the Sand Gnats got even closer to a playoff birth, and even more draft picks signed: Tacoma 11, Las Vegas 0Zack Wheeler had a no-hitter through 4 innings, and the only run he gave up came on a solo homer.  In total, he allowed 1 hit and 2 walks with 7 strikeouts in 5.2 innings.  Jack Leathersich threw a scoreless inning and stranded Wheeler’s runs in the 6th.  Gonzalez Germen let up 7 runs, including 4 homeruns and Robert Carson allowed 2 more runs.  Just 5 hits for the 51s, all singles, 2 came from Juan Centeno and none from Ike Davis.The B-Mets got rained out in Trenton.  They return home tonight. St. Lucie 5, Clearwater 4Domingo Tapia only lasted 4 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts.  Angel Cuan followed with 4 strong innings to pick up the win.  Matt Reynolds was 2 for 5 with a double.  Dustin Lawley, charley Thurber, and Jonathan Clark also doubled.  That officially wraps up the first half of the season for St. Lucie.  They finished 34-30, who ties them for the second most wins in the league, but they finished 9 games behind Fort Myers in the South Division.  Noah Syndergaard, Aderlin Rodriguez, T.J. Rivera, and Dustin Lawley will play in the FSL All-Star Game Saturday, and they'll open up the second half of the season on Monday. Savannah 9, Greenville 4Jake Kuebler threw 5 shutout innings, allowing just 2 hits.  Beck Wheeler struck out 3 over 2 innings to pick up his 6th save of the year.  Jayce Boyd was 4 for 4, including a triple and a 3-run homer, just his 4th of the year.  Maikis De La Cruz was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 5 with a triple (his 5th of the season) and an RBI.  Eudy Pina, Cole Frenzel, and Phillip Evans all had 2 hits each.  Elsewhere, Charleston split a double header, which has lowered Savannah’s magic number to 2.  The Gnats have 3 games left to play against Greenville, who is more than 20 games under .500, so a playoff birth looks very likely at this point. DSL Mets1 10, DSL Yankees1 9The Dominican Mets had 6 different with a multi-hit game, including John Mora, who drove in 4 runs. DSL Rangers 8, DSL Mets2 5Outfielder Jose Figuera had 3 hits, including 2 doubles.  Alvin Maracaro and Alfredo Reyes had 2 hits each.  18-year old Jean Alvarez threw 3 scoreless innings in relief.
