Last night was a rough night on the farm, save for a nice outing from Matt Harvey and another win by the Cyclones over the hated Yankees.  Let’s take a look. Buffalo 6, Norfolk 1 Matt Harvey had another good outing, allowing 1 run on 6 hits in 6 innings while walking 2 and striking out 7.  He ran into some trouble in the first couple innings but was able to work his way out of it.  Jenrry Mejia pitched 2 innings allowing just 1 hit and striking out 2.  Rob Johnson was 2 for 4 with a double.  Matt Den Dekker was 1 for 4 with a triple.  Ronny Cedeno was 1 for 5 with an RBI while playing shortstop. Akron 6, Binghamton 4 (10 innings) The B-Mets lost a game that started on June 3rd in Binghamton and ended last night in Akron.  Brad Holt let up 2 runs in the 10th on 4 walks and a hit to take the loss. Akron 4, Binghamton 2 (7 innings) Mark Cohoon pitched all 6 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and striking out 5.  Josh Rodriguez had 2 of the B-Mets 5 hits, including a homerun.  Reese Havens, Dustin Martin, and Juan Centeno had the other 3 hits. Bradenton 7, St. Lucie 0 The Lucies struggled on the mound and at the plate in an ugly loss.  Erik Goeddel let up 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks through 5.1 innings, but he did strike out 7.  Jack Leathersich and John Church also gave up 2 runs each.  Alonzo Harris and Blake Forsythe both singled to give St. Lucie their only hits of the game.  Ruben Tejada was 0 for 4 with a strikeout; he’s 1 for 9 on rehab thus far. Brooklyn 4, Staten Island 1 Luis Mateo (a name you may want to learn) pitched 5.2 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts.  John Mincone pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in relief and Jeremy Gould struck out the side in the 9th to earn the save.  Cole Frenzel led the way offensively going 3 for 5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.  Alexander Sanchez was 2 for 5.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. Princeton 8, Kingsport 4 Akeel Morris did not have a season debut, lasting 3 plus innings and allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits.  On the plus side he only walked 1, but he also only struck out 2.  Joe Tuschak homered but also committed 2 errors in left field.  Jeffrey Diehl was 1 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Gavin Cecchini was 0 for 3 with 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, and a throwing error. SAL North 3, SAL South 2 The Sand Gnats all-star trio was on the losing side of things.  T.J. Chism pitched the 8th and gave up a run that would ultimately be the difference in the game.  T.J. Rivera was 1 for 2.  Travis Taijeron was 0 for 2 with a strikeout.  Taijeron failed to hit a homerun in the finals of the SAL homerun derby.
