Last night on the farm, Dillon Gee made his first rehab start, Juan Lagares kept up his rehab, and Brandon Nimmo hit his first AA homer.  Let’s check it out:

 

Las Vegas 10, Memphis 8

 

Darin Gorski only lasted 3 innings, giving up 6 runs (2 earned).  Chase Bradford and Buddy Carlyle each threw 2 shout innings while the 51s staged a comeback.  Matt den Dekker hit a 2-run pinch-hit homer to tie the game in the 7th.  Matt Reynolds was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Juan Centeno had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  Andrew Brown was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks.

 

Binghamton 2, Reading 0

 

The B-Mets got just 2 hits, but they were a single by Dustin Lawley and a homer by Brandon Nimmo, and that would be all they would need.  Greg Peavey threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 5.  Cody Satterwhite struck out 2 in a scoreless 9th to get his 4th save of the season.  Juan Lagares was 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts.

 

Jupiter 6, St. Lucie 4

 

Luis Cessa struggled, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits over 5 innings.  Eudy Pina continues to catch fire, going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.  L.J. Mazzilli homered.  Gavin Cecchini was 2 for 4 with a walk, stolen base, and RBI, while committing a throwing error in the field.

 

Charleston 6, Savannah 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)

 

Ricky Knapp let up 4 runs on 7 hits over 5.2 innings, taking the loss.  Dominic Smith was 2 for 3 with a double.  Yeixon Ruiz was 2 for 3 with a triple and RBI.  Jonathan Leroux also doubled.  Champ Stuart was 1 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base.

 

Savannah 2, Charleston 0 (Game 2, 7 innings)

 

Dario Alvarez started and struck out 10 in 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.  Hunter Carnevale and Akeel Morris combined for the final 2.2 innings.  The Gnats needed just 6 hits to push across 2 runs.  Dominic Smith was 0 for 3.

 

Hudson Valley 6, Brooklyn 3

 

Alberto Baldonado lasted just 2.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits.  Brandon Welch followed for 3.1 scoreless innings, and Josh Prevost and Brad Wieck both threw a scoreless inning.  Amed Rosario was 3 for 4.  Jhoan Urena was 2 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI’s.  Joe Tuschak had 2 hits.

 

Kingsport 6, Bluefield 5

 

Wuilmer Becerra singled home Pedro Perez to give the K-Mets a walk-off win, capping off a 3-run 9th inning.  Perez doubled twice and drove in 2 runs.  Brandon Brosher and Miguel Leal also had 2 hits each.  Andrew Massie started the game and allowed 4 runs (2 earned) over 6 innings.  Martires Arias struck out 6 in 3 shutout innings to get the win.

 

GCL Mets 17, GCL Marlins 2

 

Dillon Gee made a rehab start, throwing 2 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.  Blake Taylor followed for 4 shutout innings in his Mets debut, striking out 7 while allowing 1 hit and 3 walks.  The Mets put together an offensive explosion, including an 11-run 8th inning.  Dash Winningham, Hengelbert Rojas, Dionis Rodriguez, Gregory Valencia, and Enmanuel Zabala all had 2 hits.  Alfredo Reyes doubled and drove in 3 runs.  William Fulmer was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Phillip Evans also made a rehab appearance, going 2 for 3.
