Las Vegas was off last night and Binghamton was rained out, so it was just a-ball and below. Let’s see what happened:
Fort Myers 8, St. Lucie 6
St. Lucie scored 6 in the top of the 1st, but the pitching couldn’t hold the lead. John Lannan started and allowed 5 runs on 1 hit and 4 walks, recording a single out, putting his ERA at a cool 135. Seth Lugo followed and struck out 7 in 4.2 innings, but he gave up 2 runs on 6 hits and took the loss. Aderlin Rodriguez went 3 for 3 with an RBI. L.J. Mazzilli was 2 for 5 with a double. Gavin Cecchini was 0 for 5 with 2 strikeouts.
Savannah 4, Charleston 0
Robert Gsellman threw 7 shutout innings, allowing just 5 runs and 2 walks while striking out 4. Dawrin Frias finished the job with 3 strikeouts in 2 perfect innings. Dominic Smith was 2 for 4 with a double. Champ Stuart, Stefan Sabol, and Jonathan Johnson all had 2 hits each.
Brooklyn 5, Aberdeen 1
Octavio Acosta was good again, striking out 7 in 6 innings, while allowing just 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks. Tyler Moore was 2 for 4 with a triple and RBI. Michael Katz had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Amed Rosario was 1 for 4 with 2 strikeouts.
Kingsport 7, Princeton 4
Christian Montgomery had another rough outing, giving up 4 runs in 3.2 innings, but Ty Williams, Luis Rengel, and Ismael Tijerina combined for 5.1 scoreless innings and 9 strikeouts out of the bullpen. Luis Guillorme, Eudor Garcia, and Brandon Brosher had 2 hits each. Wuilmer Becerra hit a 3 run homer. Ivan Wilson was 1 for 4 with a triple.
GCL Marlins 7, GCL Mets 4
Luis Mateo made another rehab appearance, striking out 2 while allowing an unearned run in 1 inning of work. Jose Figuera and Manuel Hilario had 2 hits each.
