The rain has finally cleared up and we have a full slate of games on the farm last night.  So, here we go: Las Vegas 9, Tacoma 0Aging veteran Giancarlo Alvarado threw 6 shutout innings with 7 strikeouts.  Rylan Sandoval, Brian Bixler, Francisco Pena, and Kai Gronauer all homered.  Pena had 5 RBI’s.  Eric Campbell was 3 for 4.  Wilmer Flores and Ike Davis had 1 hit each. Binghamton 7, Trenton 3Cory Mazzoni struck out 10 in 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks.  Adam Kolarek struck out 2 in 2 shutout innings to get the save.  Blake Forsythe was 2 for 3 with a double and triple.  Travis Taijeron hit a 2-run homer.  Josh Rodriguez had 2 hits, including a double and RBI.  Cesar Puello was an ordinary 1 for 5.  This was the first B-Mets game since Monday. Palm Beach 5, St. Lucie 2 (10 innings)Matt Bowman was impressive yet again, giving up just 2 hits and 2 walks over 8 innings while striking out 7; the lone run he gave up came on a homer.  T.J. Chism blew the save in the 9th and gave up 3 more runs in the 10th to lose the game.  Jayce Boyd and Dustin Lawley had 2 hits each; Boyd legged out a triple and drove in a run.  Matt den Dekker was 1 for 4 with 2 strikeouts.  Kevin Plawecki didn’t play, but word is he just tweaked something while swinging and then was in pain while catching, and should only miss a day or two. Savannah 3, Rome 0Matt Koch struck out 5, walked none, and allowed just 4 hits in 7.1 shutout innings.  Paul Sewald got the final 5 outs and got the win, as the Gnats scored all 3 runs in the 8th inning.  Kyle Johnson was 1 for 3 with a walk in his Savannah debut after coming to the Mets in exchange for Collin Cowgill.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts, but he did drive in a run on a ground out and was at the plate when the Gnats scored on a wild pitch. Brooklyn 7, Hudson Valley 4Seth Lugo got the win despite allowing 4 runs in 5 innings.  Tim Peterson threw 5 shutout innings and Shawn Teufel got the save with a scoreless 9th.  Matt Oberste was 4 for 5 with 1 RBI.  Alex Sanchez and Colton Plaia (15th round) had 2 hits each.  Plaia doubled and drove in 3 runs.  Gavin Cecchini had the night off. Greeneville 2, Kingsport 1 (15 innings)Andrew Massie started and gave up 1 run over 5 innings.  Persio Reyes, Ricardo Jacquez, and Luis Rengal all threw 3 shutout innings, but Rengel finally gave up a run in the 15th.  Amed Rosario was moved down in the order, but went 3 for 6 with a solo homer.  Victor Cruzado was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 walks.  In 15 innings, the K-Mets struck out 25 times. GCL Nationals 6, GCL Mets 5Hansel Robles made another rehab appearance, giving up 2 runs over 6 innings, but allowing 8 hits and striking out just 2.  Dan Hermann (20th round) got just 1 out and allowed 3 runs (2 earned).  The talented GCL team finally showed some offense with 10 hits.  18-year old catcher Jose Garcia had 2 hits.  Dominic Smtih was the only starter without a hit.  Ruben Tejada was 1 for 2 with a double, RBI, and strikeout while playing shortstop for a few innings. DSL Mets1 2, DSL Cardinals 1 (7 innings)Juan Marte gave up 1 run in 5 innings of work.  A second game between these teams was suspended in the 4th inning with the Mets up by a run. DSL Mets2 2, DSL Rockies 117-year old Darwin Ramos struck out 4 in 4 shutout innings, lowering his ERA to 0.79.  17-year old Merandy Gonzalez struck out 3 in 3 shutout innings.  Alfredo Reyes was 1 for 3 with a double, walk, and RBI; he’s hitting .306.  This DSL team is not 15-9, tied for the 3rd best record in the DSL.
