Last night on the farm, Dillon Gee made a rehab appearance, Michael Fulmer pitched a gem, and the Sand Gnats played a wild and crazy game.  Let’s take a look:

Sacramento 2, Las Vegas 1

Darin Gorski had a nice outing, striking out 8 in 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, but he took the loss after the 51s struggled offensively.  Wilmer Flores had 2 of the 51s 4 hits.

Binghamton 7, Altoona 4

Matthew Bowman struck out 9 in 7 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 6 hits.  Jack Leathersich sruck out the side in the 8th without allowing any base runners.  Jayce Boyd was 3 for 4 with an RBI.  Travis Taijeron doubled twice and drove in 2 runs.  Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 3 with 2 walks, and Dilson Herrera was 1 for 5 with an RBI and 2 strikeouts.

St. Lucie 1, Bradenton 0

Michael Fulmer bounced back nicely after literally getting knocked out by a line drive in his last start 8 days ago.  Fulmer threw 7 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8.  The Lucies won on just 7 singles, including 2 from Phillip Evans and 1 each from Gavin Cecchini and L.J. Mazzili.

Savannah 15, Rome 12

This game was beyond crazy, as Rome score 5 in the top of the first, only to see Savannah come back with runs in each of the first 5 innings, including 8 runs in the 5th, with Rome scoring 6 in the top of the 9th to nearly come all the way back.  Ricky Knapp was charged with the first 6 runs over 4 innings of work, while Paul Paez gave up the other 6 in the 9th without recording an out before Dawrin Frias came in to close out the game.  Champ Stuart was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, a walk, RBI, and 4 runs scored.  Matt Oberste was 4 for 4 with a double, grand slam, and 6 RBI’s.  Dominic Smith was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Patrick Biondi and Cole Frenzel also doubled, while Victor Cruzado had 3 hits.

Staten Island 5, Brooklyn 4

Dillon Gee made a rehab start, striking out 6 over 2.2 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits.  Corey Oswalt piggybacked but struggled, allowing 4 runs in 2.2 innings.  Michael Katz had 2 hits, and Jhoan Urena contributed a double.

Johnson City 12, Kingsport 6

This game was completed from Saturday night, although they weren’t able to play the regularly scheduled game, so they’ll play 2 today.  Yoryi Nuez started, and gave up 7 runs (4 earned) over 2.1 innings.  The bullpen wasn’t much better, giving up 5 runs over 5.2 innings.  Oswald Caraballo and Ivan Wilson had 2 hits each.  Wilson and Zach Mathieu both doubled, and Jean Rodriguez hit a 3-run homer.
