It was a bounce back night on the farm, at least for the A-ball teams. Let’s take a look:
Fresno 10, Las Vegas 1
Darin Gorski let up 4 runs on 7 hits over 5 innings, walking 2 and striking out 5. Zack Thornton, Miguel Socolovich, and John Church all gave up 2 runs each. A Danny Muno pinch hit double was 1 of 3 total his for the 51s.
New Britain 6, Binghamton 3
Matthew Bowman took the loss after giving up 4 runs on 9 hits over 5.1 innings; he did strike out 7 and walk 1. Adam Kolarek gave up 2 run in 1.1 innings in relief. Matt Clark hit a solo homer. Jayce Boyd was 2 for 4. Darrell Ceciliani was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.
St. Lucie 5, Dunedin 0
Gabril Ynoa threw another gem, striking out 11 in 7 shutout inning, allowing 4 hits and no walks. Gonzalez Germen struck out 2 and allowed 1 hit in a scoreless inning of work. Albert Cordero hit a 2-run homer. Cole Frenzel and Aderlin Rodriguez both doubled. Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 2 before getting hit by a pitch around his writer/forearm area; he stayed in the game and ran for himself, but tried swinging a bat in front of the dugout before the next inning and was removed.
Savannah 10, Charleston 4
Robert Gsellman scattered 10 hits over 4.2 innings, giving up 4 runs and walking 4 while striking out 1. Dario Alvarez threw 2.1 scoreless innings, striking out 6. Jeff McNeil was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s. L.J. Mazzilli was 2 for 5 with a 2-run homer. Amed Rosario also homered. Dominic Smith was 2 for 5 with a double and RBI. Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 3 with a walk, RBI, and 3 runs scored.
