It wasn’t pretty, but the Mets farmhands found a way to pick up a few wins on Sunday.  Let’s see how it happened:

Las Vegas 5, Fresno 4

Logan Verrett got the win after pitching 5 plus innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits.  Ryan Reid earned his 2nd save of the season.  Cory Vaughn was 3 for 4 with a 2-run homer.  Brandon Allen and Kai Groanuer both doubled.

Binghamton 7, New Britain 3

Tyler Pill was solid, giving up 2 runs over 5 innings, walking 4 and striking out 5.  T.J. Chsim gave up the lead, but Cody Satterwhite and Chase Bradford both threw a scoreless inning in relief.  Kevin Plawecki was 2 for 3 with a double.  Travis Taijeron doubled twice.

Palm Beach 4, St. Lucie 3

Michael Fulmer had another so-so outing, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings, walking 1 but striking out just 3.  Fulmer now has a 2-6 record on the season.  Seth Lugo struck out 4 in 4 shutout innings out of the bullpen, but a 9th inning rally fell short.  Aderlin Rodriguez hit a 2-nhomer in that 9th inning, but offense was sparse for St. Lucie otherwise.  Brandon Nimmo was once again out of the lineup.

Savannah 11, Charleston 6

Chris Flexen continued to turn things around, pitching 5 innings and giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits.  Akeel Morris struck out 3 in 1.1 hitless innings to lower his ERS to 0.28.  L.J. Mazzilli was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Dominic Smith was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 5 with 2 RBI’s.  Champ Stuart had 2 hits.  Jeff McNeil doubled and drove in 3 runs.  Patrick Biondi had 3 hits.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 3 with a double, RBI, and 2 walks.
