Sunday had an abbreviated schedule on the farm with just four games.  Let’s take a look:

Binghamton 5, Erie 4

Hansel Robles scattered 8 hits over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.  The bullpen went 4 innings, allowing just 1 unearned run.  Brandon Nimmo went 3 for 5 to get himself off the interstate.  Dilson Herrera was 1 for 3 with a walk, homer, and 3 RBI’s.  Dustin Lawley and Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits each.

Charleston 5, Savannah 0

John Gant lasted just 2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits.  The bullpen kept the Gnats in the game, but Savannah had just 4 total hits.  Champ Stuart and Dominic Smith both went hitless.

Connecticut 6, Brooklyn 0

Corey Oswalt had a rough night, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits over just 4 innings, taking his first loss of the season.  Meanwhile, the Cyclones managed just 4 singles.

Bristol 8, Kingsport 2

Andrew Massie started and took the loss, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits over 4 innings.  Luis Ortega had 3 hits, including a double.  Oswald Caraballo and Wuilmer Becerra each had 2 hits.  Luis Guillorme and Vicente Lupo both doubled.

On a programming note, as of Monday I’ll be on a bit of a working vacation for a few weeks, so if I miss a day or don’t post until later in the day, I apologize.  Along the way, I hope to see two or three farm clubs in person.
