With the AA and AAA clubs also going through all-star festivities and plenty of rain outs, action has been light on the farm the last couple of nights, but let’s get caught up on Tuesday and Wednesday night’s games:


Asheville 10, Savannah 5 (Tuesday)


Alex Panteliodis got roughed up for 8 runs on 11 hits over 4 innings.  Patrick Biondi, Dominic Smith, and Cole Frenzel all had 2 hits.  Frenzel hit a 2-run homer, while Smith and Matt Oberste doubled.


Ashville 6, Savannah 5 (Wednesday)


Logan Taylor took the loss after allowing 2 unearned runs in 5.1 innings, striking out 8 and walking 1.  Champ Stuart and Victor Cruzado had 2 hits each.  Dominic Smith was 1 for 4.


Jamestown 5, Brooklyn 2 (Wednesday)


Brandon Welch lasted just 3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits.  Luis Mateo threw 2 scoreless innings in another rehab stint.  Tomas Nido had 2 hits.  Jhoan Urena and Anthony Chavez both doubled.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 4.


Burlington 4, Kingsport 3 (Wednesday)


Gaby Almonte took another loss, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits over 5.1 innings.  Wuilmer Becerra was 5 for 5 with 2 doubles.  Luis Guillorme and Oswald Caraballo also doubled.


GCL Mets 1, GCL Marlins 0 (Tuesday, ended after 6 innings due to rain)


Robert Whalen made a rehab start and struck out 5 in 4 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk.  The Mets needed just 2 hits to get the win.  Taylor Teagarden was 0 for 3 with a strikeout.


GCL Mets 4, GCL Marlins 1 (Wednesday, ended after 5 innings due to rain)


Audry German scattered 8 hits over 5 innings, allowing just 1 run, striking out 2 with no walks.  John Mora had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s; Mora, Taylor Teagarden, and Alfredo Reyes all doubled.
