Savannah was rained out, but Kingsport made up for it by playing a double-header for the second straight day.  Elsewhere, St. Lucie and Brooklyn were involved in pitching duels, while the B-Mets and GCL Mets couldn’t get anyone out.  Let’s take a look: Las Vegas 7, Reno 5Matt Fox scattered 10 hits across 5 innings, allowing 4 runs.  Jack Leathersich threw a scoreless 8th to get the win and Rob Carson threw a scoreless 9th to get the save.  Ruben Tejada was 3 for 5 with a double and RBI.  Jordany Valdespin was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Jamie Hoffman and Matt den Dekker were both 2 for 4 with a double. New Britain 8, Binghamton 7Darin Gorski didn’t get out of the 1st inning, allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 3 walks, throwing 43 pitches and only recording 2 outs.  Jim Fuller got hit hard, giving up 5 runs in 2.2 innings, although he did strike out 5.  Ryan Fraser gave up 2 more in 3.2 innings, striking out 4.  Wilfredo Tovar was 3 for 5.  Allan Dykstra, Rhyne Hughes, Blake Forsythe, and Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits each.  Dykstra and Hughers both homered, and Ceciliani drove in 2 runs.  Cesar Puello was 1 for 4 with a double. St. Lucie 3, Brevard County 1Alex Panteliodis threw 7 shutout innings for the second straight start, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 7.  Kyle Johnson had 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.  Jayce Boyd, Dustin Lawley, and Kevin Plawecki each had an RBI. Mahoning valley 2, Brooklyn 1Robert Gsellman got the tough-luck loss, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings while striking out 5.  L.J. Mazzilli was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Jared King had 2 hits. Danville 12, Kingsport 5 (Game 1, 7 innings)Yoan Gonzalez let up 6 runs in 3 plus innings, and the bullpen didn’t fair much better, as this one got away from the K-Mets.  Bradley Marquez had 2 hits; he now has an 8-game hitting streak, with 2 hits in 3 of the last 4 games.  Jonathan Leroux had 2 RBI’s and then took the mound for the final out of the game. Kingsport 1, Danville 0 (Game 2, 7 innings)Persio Reyes struck out 11 in 6 shutout innings, giving up just 2 hits and 1 walk.  Joe Tuschak drove in the only run of the game. GCL Nationals 11, GCL Mets 6Brandon Brosher (36th round) hit a 3-run homer.  Dominic Smith was 1 for 3 with a double, walk, 2 strikeouts, and 2 runs scored.  Jose Garcia drove in 2 runs.
