Last night on the farm, Binghamton and the GCL were rained out, Kingsport was off, and Brooklyn was suspended in the 2nd inning, so it was an abbreviated night on the farm.  Let’s check it out:

 

Salt Lake 10, Las Vegas 9

 

Giancarlo Alvarado let up 7 runs over 4.2 innings, although Erik Goeddel and Chase Bradford combined for 3.1 scoreless innings, only to have Ryan Reid give up 3 runs in the top of the 9th to blow the save and take the loss.  Kevin Plawecki was 1 for 4 with a 3-run double.  Wilmer Flores and Brandon Allen each had 2 hits, including a 2-run homer by Allen.  Andrew Brown and Josh Satin both doubled and drove in 2 runs.

 

St. Lucie 7, Charlotte 6

 

Matt Koch scattered 10 hits over 5 innings, allowing 5 runs.  Robert Coles struck out 3 in 2 scoreless frames to get the win, while T.J. Chism got the save.  Eudy Pina continued his hot streak with 2 hits.  Gilbert Gomez and L.J. Mazzilli both doubled.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 5 with 2 RBI’s.

 

Savannah 7, Charleston 4

 

John Gant struck out 10 in 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks.  Bret Mitchell struck out 3 during a 4-out save.  Champ Stuart was 2 for 3 with a 2-run homer.  Colton Plaia had 2 hits, including a double.  Patrick Biondi tripled and scored a run.  Dominic Smith had the night off.
