Last night on the farm, Las Vegas played a double-header, Jeremy Hefner made a rehab appearance, new Met Blake Taylor threw a gem, and one of the team’s top prospects got himself ejected.


Las Vegas 4, Tacoma 0 (Game 1, 7 innings)


Noah Syndergaard threw 6.1 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 5.  Matt den Dekker was 3 for 4 with a double, homer, and 2 RBI’s.  Josh Satin also homered.


Tacoma 4, Las Vegas 3 (Game 2, 7 innings)


Giancarlo Alvarado made the start, giving up 3 runs in 3 innings.  Matt den Dekker was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.


Portland 4, Binghamton 3


Rainy Lara was fine, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, striking out 4, but Jon Velasquez let up a run in the bottom of the 9th and the B-Mets walk-off with a loss.  Dilson Herrera was 3 for 4 with a triple and solo homer, going a double shy of the cycle.  He was ejected from the game for arguing with the umpire after being thrown out at home.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts.


Tampa Bay 3, St. Lucie 2


John Lannan lasted 5.1 innings, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.  Seth Lugo followed with 2.2 hitless innings.  Jared King and Cam Maron had 2 hits each.


Aberdeen 7, Brooklyn 6


Brandon Welch started and went 3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits over 3 innings, striking out 3.  Alberto Baldonado followed and let up 4 runs in 1.1 innings.  Juan Urbina made a cameo appearance late, throwing a scoreless inning.  Amed Rosario had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  Jhoan Urena was 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 RBI’s.  Michael Conforto was 1 for 4 with a double and RBI.  Adrian Abreu and William Fulmer each had 2 hits.


Kingsport 5, Greeneville 0


Blake Taylor threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and 2 walks, but striking out just 1.  Oswald Caraballo was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Wuilmer Becerra was 3 for 4 with a homer and 3 RBI’s.


GCL Nationals 5, GCL Mets 1


Jeremy Hefner threw 3 innings this time around, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, striking out 1.  Audry German followed for 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits.  Hengelbert Rojas had 3 hits, including a solo homer.
