Some news before we get started.  GCL catcher Alex Machillanda was arrested in PSL for shoplifting.  In 8 games, he’s hitting .357, but an undersized catcher who’s 21-years old and playing in the GCL is no big deal.  Also, Pedro Feliciano got promoted to Las Vegas, while Armando Rodriguez and Greg Peavey have been demoted to Binghamton, where the night life is not quite as good as Vegas.  Now, onto the games: Las Vegas 12, Reno 10Jacob deGrom had a rough night, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits over 3.2 innings, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts.  But the 51s scored 10 runs in the 3rd inning to bail him out.  Ruben Tejada was 3 for 5 with a double.  Wilmer Flores returned from the DL and went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s while playing first base.  Jamie Hoffman was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Juan Centeno had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  Jordany Valdespin was 0 for 3 with 2 walks.  Matt den Dekker was 1 for 4 with a walk and RBI. Binghamton 6, Reading 3Noah Syndergaard struck out 7 in 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, walking 1.  Jeff Walters notched his 27th save of the year, striking out 2.  Danny Muno and Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits each.  Josh Rodriguez doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Alonzo Harris also doubled. St. Lucie 5, Daytona 3 (Game 1, 7 innings)Rainy Lara threw 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.  Hamilton Bennett got the final 5 outs of the game for his 8th save in St. Lucie after a cameo in Binghamton.  Cory Vaughn was 1 for 3 with a triple and RBI, as his rehab is officially over, but he is not rejoining Binghamton just yet.  T.J. Rivera had 2 hits. Daytona 7, St. Lucie 0 (Game 2, 7 innings)It was another brief outing for Domingo Tapia, who walked 4 and gave up 3 runs on 2 hits, leaving the game after getting just 2 outs.  Oddly enough, Tapia walked the first batter of the game and then induced a double play to give him 2 outs and no one on base before things fell apart.  Angel Cuan pitched a shutout for 2.1 innings, but Cody Satterwhite let up 4 runs (1 earned) to put the game out of reach.  Dustin Lawley doubled, as the Lucies managed just 4 hits. Delmarva 9, Savannah 2Luis Cessa let up 5 runs on 13 hits over 5 innings, walking 1 and striking out 4.  Eudy Pina doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Brandon Nimmo was 2 for 3, but was ejected after striking out swinging in the 5th inning. Lowell 2, Brooklyn 1Seth Lugo took the loss, despite allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings.  James Roche was 2 for 4 with a double.  The Cyclones struck out 12 times. Kingsport 5, Elizabethton 4Robert Whalen struck out 10 in 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits without a walk.  Ricardo Jacquez (25th round) struck out 4 in 1.2 innings, despite blowing the save on an unearned run.  Jeyckol De Leon was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s.  Jeff McNeil, Victor Cruzado, and Joe Tuschak had 2 hits each.  Bradley Marquez was 0 for 3, snapping his 10-game hit streak.  The K-Mets are chasing Elizabethton for a playoff spot, so this series is big for them. GCL Cardinals 4, GCL Mets 3Octavio Acosta struck out 6 and allowed 1 run in 7 innings, but Ty Williams gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to blow the game.  Wuilmer Becerra and Jhoan Urena had 2 hits each.  Vicente Lupo drove in 2 runs.  Dominic Smith was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.
