Last night on the farm, Cory Mazzoni made another AAA start, Dilson Herrera plays a big role in a walk-off win, and a couple young pitchers shine in the lower levels.  Let’s have a look:


El Paso 7, Las Vegas 5


Cory Mazzoni went 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, walking 3 and striking out 1, but John Church let up 4 runs in the 7th inning to take the loss.  Matt den Dekker was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Matt Reynolds was 2 for 5 with an RBI.  Josh Satin and Anthony Seratelli also had 2 hits each.


Binghamton 4, New Hampshire 3


Dilson Herrera homered in the 8th to bring the B-Mets within a run, and then he hit the game-winning sac fly in the bottom of the 9th to give the B-Mets the walk-off win.  Travis Taijeron drove in the other 2 runs.  Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 3 with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.  Tyler Pill lasted 7.2 innings, striking out 5 and giving up 3 runs on 6 hits.  Chase Huchingson got the win by getting the final 4 outs, striking out 3.


Savannah 8, Lexington 3


Robert Whalen went 7 strong innings, allowing 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 7.  Yeixon Ruiz was 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI’s.  Stefan Sabol, Jonathan Johnson, and Jeff Glenn all had 2 hits.  Dominic Smith was 0 for 3 with 2 walks.


Brooklyn 4, Lowell 1


Casey Meisner bounced back after 4 rough outings, striking out 6 in 5 innings while allowing 1 run on 3 hits, earning his first win of the season.  Tyler Moore was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.  Michael Conforto was 0 for 3 with a walk, his first hitless game of the season.  Amed Rosario was 0 for 4.


Kingsport 6, Danville 2


Martires Arias threw 5 shutout innings, walking 5 and striking out 5, while allowing 3 hits.  Eudor Garcia was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. 


GCL Mets 8, GCL Cardinals 5 (6 innings, rain)


Audry German scattered 9 hits over 5 innings, giving up 3 runs and striking out 5.  Enmanuel Zabala was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Dash Winningham was 1 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Arnaldo Berrios had 3 hits.  Milton Ramos was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
