Las Vegas 9, Sale Lake 8


Logan Verrett got knocked around a bit for 6 runs on 11 hits over 5 innings, but the bullpen was good, allowing the 51s to come back and Buddy Carlyle hung on for the save.  Wilmer Flores hit a 3-run homer in the 1st inning.  Brandon Allen also homered.  Matt Reynolds was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, and walk.  Andrew Brown and Matt den Dekker both had an outfield assist.


Binghamton 6, New Britain 4


Tyler Pill scattered 4 runs and 9 hits across 6.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1.  Chase Huchingson got the win after 1.2 scoreless innings and Cody Satterwhite got his 6th save with a scoreless 9th.  Brian Burgamy was 4 for 5 with a triple and homer.  Kyle Johnson hit 2 solo homers and Dilson Herrera homered as well.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 3 with a walk.


St. Lucie 7, Charlotte 4


Luis Cessa had a nice outing, allowing 2 unearned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, although he walked 4 and struck out 2.  Paul Sewald threw 2 scoreless innings to get the save.  Jeff McNeil was 3 for 4 with a double.  Phillip Evans, L.J. Mazzilli, and Aderlin Rodriguez all had 2 hits, while Gavin Cecchini hit a grand slam.


Savannah 10, Charleston 5


Alex Panteliodis had a nice outing, allowing 1 unearned run over 7 innings, striking out 4.  Cole Frenzel had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s.  Champ Stuart, Dominic Smith, Colton Plaia, and Jonathan Johnson all had 2 hits.  Smith doubled and drove in a run while Johnson doubled and drove in 4 runs.


Greeneville 12, Kingsport 6


Gaby Almonte started and let up 5 runs (2 earned) in 5 innings, while Ramon Estevez gave up another 5 runs in 2.1 innings.  Luis Guillorme was 4 for 5 with a walk.  Jean Rodriguez was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles.  Eudor Garcia, Pedro Perez, and Vicente Lupo all had 2 hits.  Ivan Wilson struck out 4 times, but also hit his 3rd homer of the season.


GCL Mets 4, GCL Marlins 1


Logan Taylor allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 5 innings to get the win after 3 different relievers combined for 4 shutout innings.  John Mora was 2 for 4; he’s hitting .433 early in the season.  Dash Winningham hit his 2nd homer of the season.  Milton Ramos was 1 for 4 with an RBI.
