Last night on the farm, Michael Fulmer threw a gem, the Cyclones went off offensively, but the rest of the farm system struggled.  Let’s have a look:


El Paso 8, Las Vegas 5


Logan Verrett struck out 8 in 6 innings, but he also let up 4 runs on 6 hits, including 3 homers.  Ryan Reid got hit up for another 3 runs in 1.1 innings.  Matt den Dekker and Matt Reynolds both had 2 hits.  Allan Dykstra doubled and drove in 3 runs; den Dekker and Josh Satin also doubled.


New Hampshire 7, Binghamton 2


Greg Peavey let up 4 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings, striking out 5 and taking the loss.  Jack Leatherisch let up 2 more runs in 1.1 innings.  Brandon Nimmo was 2 for 5 with a triple.  Dustin Lawley, T.J. Rivera, Darrell Ceciliani, and Kai Gronauer all doubled.  Dilson Herrera was 1 for 4.


St. Lucie 4, Dunedin 3


Michael Fulmer put together 6 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 5.  Beck Wheeler let up 3 runs, but T.J. Chism got the final 4 outs to pick up the save.  Eudy Pina was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Wilfredo Tovar and Gavin Cecchini also doubled.  L.J. Mazzilli had 2 hits.


Brooklyn 9, Auburn 4


Scarlyn Reyes lasted just 3.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, walking 4 and striking out 4.  But the bullpen pitched a shutout for the final 4 plus innings to secure the win.  Michael Conforto was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored.  Tyler Moore and Joe Tuschak both doubled.  Amed Rosario was 0 for 5.


Kingsport 8, Danville 3


Yoryi Nuez walked 7 and struck out 6 over 5 innings, giving up 2 runs and getting the win.  Luis Guillorme and Oswald Caraballo had 2 hits each.  Caraballo doubled and Wuilmer Becerra tripled and drove in 2 runs, despite striking out 3 times.


GCL Cardinals 10, GCL Mets 1


Dash Winningham was 2 for 4 with a double and solo homer to provide the only run of the game.  Jose Celas started and lasted just 1.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits; the bullpen didn’t fair much better.
