Last night on the farm, some teams provided offensive fireworks, some teams didn’t, and others made fans wait a lot longer to get to them.

 

Albuquerque 7, Las Vegas 6 (10 innings)

 

Darin Gorski had another nice outing, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, striking out 7 and walking 1.  Zack Thornton allowed 3 unearned runs and Chase Bradford allowed 2 unearned runs that Buddy Carlyle inherited, and that was the game.  Wilmer Flores was 2 for 5 with 2 homers.  Danny Muno hit a pinch-hit homer to tie the game in the 9th.  Matt Reynolds and Allan Dykstra had 2 hits each.

 

Erie 9, Binghamton 6 (16 innings)

 

Gabriel Ynoa had a rough AA debut, giving up 5 runs on 9 hits over 5.1 innings, walking 2 and striking out none.  Jack Leathersich threw 1.2 shutout innings, and Adam Kolarek, Jon Valasquez and Randy Fontanez combined for 8 innings and 1 run, but Ryan Fraser gave up 3 runs in the top of the 16th.  Jayce Boyd was 2 for 8 with a double and RBI.  Brandon Nimmo was 2 for 6 with a double, homer, and 3 RBI’s.  Dustin Lawley hit a solo homer.

 

St. Lucie 2, Jupiter 1

 

The good Domingo Tapia showed up, giving up just 1 run on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, walking 1 and striking out 3.  Maikis De La Cruz was 2 for 3 with a homer. 

 

Savannah 9, Hickory 7

 

Ricky Knapp got the win after striking out 6 in 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits.  Dawrin Frias and Bret Mitchell both allowed 2 runs, but Akeel Morris struck out 2 and got the final 4 outs to pick up the save.  Matt Oberste was 4 for 5 with a double, homer, and 4 RBI’s.  Champ Stuart was 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored; he also stole his 10th base of the season.  Dominic Smith was 1 for 5 with an RBI.

 

Aberdeen 3, Brooklyn 2

 

Dillon Gee had a successful outing, striking out 10 in 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits.  Josh Prevost followed and let up 2 runs in 2 innings of work to take the loss.  Jhoan Urena was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 4 with a strikeout.

 

Greeneville 14, Kingsport 1

 

Yoan Gonzalez was a disaster, allowing 5 runs and recording 2 outs.  Connor Buchmann finished off the 1st inning, but not before he walked 3 and gave up another run.  Of the 4 other relievers who made an appearance, only Ismael Tijerina failed to give up a run.  The K-Mets managed just 6 hits and struck out 13 times.

 

GCL Mets 5, GCL Marlins 1

 

Audry German had a nice outing, allowing 1 run over 5 innings, striking out 2.  Jose Medina followed with 3 shutout innings, striking out 3.  Jared King made a rehab appearance, going 2 for 4 with a triple.  Alvin Maracaro had 3 hits.
