Rain in Florida caused an abbreviated farm schedule on Sunday, but we still had 5 games, so let’s get to it:

Las Vegas 12, Albuquerque 1

This could be the beginning of Noah Syndergaard’s turnaround; he struck out 8 in 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits and no walks.  Ryan Reid threw 2 scoreless innings to finish off the game.  Kevin Plawecki had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s.  Cesar Puello returned from the DL and went 2 for 5 with 2 solo homers.  Wilmer Flores was 2 for 4 and homered again, while driving in 3 runs.  Andrew Brown had 3 hits and an RBI.  Matt den Dekker had 2 hits and 2 runs scored.  Omar Quintanilla doubled and drove in 3.

Erie 10, Binghamton 9 (10 innings)

Rainy Lara started and let up 6 runs on 11 hits over 5.1 innings.  Jack Leathersich had a nice outing, striking out 3 in 1.2 innings, but Adam Kolarek and Chase Huchingson both allowed 2 runs, getting the blown save and loss respectively.  Dilson Herrera was 3 for 6 with a double.  T.J. Rivera was 4 for 4 with a 2-run homer.  Dustin Lawley and Travis Taijeron also homered.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 4 with a walk and run scored.

Savannah 8, Hickory 2

Brooklyn 7, Aberdeen 0

Carlos Valdez threw 5 shutout innings, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 6.  Gaither Bumgardner piggybacked for 4 hitless innings, striking out 4.  Jhoan Urena was 3 for 4 with an RBI.  Michael Katz doubled twice and Jeff Diehl had 2 hits and an RBI.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 4.

Pulaski 4, Kingsport 1

Andrew Church was a little better, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits over 6 innings, with no walks and 2 strikeouts, although he still took the loss.  The K-Mets managed just 4 hits, including 2 singles and an RBI by Jose Garcia.  In other news, Wuilmer Becerra and Vicente Lupo were arrested over the weekend for drag racing at over 100 miles per hour; both have played in games since.
