A lot of rain the night before means a lot of double headers last night, let’s check it out:Pawtucket 2, Buffalo 0Pat Misch gave up 2 unearned runs on 3 hits while striking out 5, but he takes the tough luck loss.  Miguel Batista got 5 outs without getting shelled again.  A Michael Fisher single and a Jesus Feliciano double were the only hits for the Bisons.Binghamton 7, New Britain 6 (Game 1)Robert Carson let up 6 runs (3 earned) in 4 innings of work, but Erik Turgeon pitched a scoreless 5th to get the win and John Lujan struck out 3 in 2 scoreless frames to get the save.  Jordanny Valdespin and Josh Satin continue to carry the B-Mets offense with 2 hits apiece, including a double; Valdespin also drove home 2 runs.  Raul Reyes tripled home 3 runs as the B-Mets did all their scoring in the 4th inning.Binghamton 9, New Britain (Game 2)Jeurys familia gave up a pair of homeruns, which accounted for all 4 runs he gave up in 5.1 innings; but he did strike out 7 and got the win.  Edgar Ramirez made his first appearance in nearly two months and finished off the game.  Matt Den Dekker was 2-5 with a double.  Raul Reyes drove in 3 runs just as he did in the first game.Tampa 3, St. Lucie 1 (Game 1)Kyle Allen took the loss in game 1, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 4 innings.  It was not a good follow up to Allen’s best start of the year his last time out.  Just 2 hits all game for the Mets; Stefan Welch homered, but that was it.St. Lucie 6, Tampa 5 12 innings (Game 2)There’s nothing like playing 12 when you’re suppose to play 7, especially after you’ve already played 7.  Scott Moviel had yet another disappointing outing, giving up all 5 runs in 3.1 innings.  After that 5 different relievers allowed 0 runs on just 4 hits though the final 8.2 innings.  Juan Lagares had 3 hits, including a 3-run homer.  He’s hitting .348 and is killing the FSL pitchers.  This one ended when Cory Vaughn was hit by the pitch while the bases loaded in the bottom of the 12th.Greensboro 5, Savannah 0Yohan Almonte struck out 6 in 5 innings, but he gave up 3 runs and got no run support, so he took the loss.  Just 3 singles for the Sand Gnats.Brooklyn 3, Connecticut 2Carlos Vazquez lasted 6 innings, giving up just 2 runs, while striking out 3.  Cory Mazzoni pitched a scoreless 7th to get his first professional win.  Tyson Seng and Jeremy Gould each pitched a perfect inning to close things out.  The Cyclones totaled 12 hits but somehow managed just 3 runs.  Daniel Muno, Richard Lucas, Chase Greene, and the freshly signed Cole Frenzel in his pro debut all had 2 hits.  Muno, Lucas, Frenzel, as well as Javier Rodriguez all doubled, and Muno drove in 2.Princeton 6, Kingsport 3Juan Urbina continues to struggle mightily in the Appalachian League.  The 18-year old failed to complete 4 innings for the first time this year, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits, while also walking 5.  After getting the platinum sombrero (5 strikeouts) two days prior, Julio Concepcion had 3 hits.  Jeffrey Glenn had 2 hits, including a double and 2 RBI’s.GCL Mets 3, GCL Cardinals 2 (Game 1)Edioglis Villasmil pitched 5 shutout innings, giving up just 1 hit and striking out 5.  Ryan Hutson, last months 36th round pick, was 3-3 with a solo homer.  Randoll Santana drove in the other 2 runs.GCL Mets 1, GCL Cardinals 0 (Game 2)Michael Hebert, on rehab assignment, struck out 6 in 6 shutout innings, allowing just 2 base runners.  The Mets had just 4 hits, producing 1 run, but that was all they needed with Hebert’s strong effort on the mound.
