Last night on the farm, Omar Quintanilla made an appearance on the mound, Binghamton swept a double-header, and Rafael Montero made a rehab appearance.  Let’s take a look:

 

Reno 15, Las Vegas 4

 

Darin Gorski got shelled for 8 runs in 2.1 innings.  The bullpen wasn’t much better, as Omar Quintanilla pitched another inning, this time allowing 2 runs.  Cesar Puello was 2 for 3 with a double and walk.  Danny Muno also had 2 hits.  Kevin Plawecki was 1 for 4 with a double.

 

Binghamton 6, Portland 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)

 

Angel Cuan got the win after throwing 5 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 5.  Dustin Lawley was 2 for 3 with a double and homer.  Brian Burgamy also homered.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 4 with a double.

 

Binghamton 1, Portland 0 (Game 2, 7 innings)

 

Gabriel Ynoa threw 7 shutout innings, allowing just 4 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts.  The B-Mets won the game with just 1 hit.

 

Bradenton 6, St. Lucie 3

 

Kevin McGowan took the loss, giving up 4 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits over 6 innings.  Cam Maron and Jeff McNeil were both 2 for 4 with a double.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 4.

 

Augusta 7, Savannah 1

 

Logan Taylor made his return to Savannah, striking out 6 in 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks.  The Gnats managed just 5 hits.

 

Brooklyn 4, State College 0

 

Scarlyn Reyes threw 5 shutout innings, striking out 4.  Luis Mateo followed with a scoreless inning, and 3 more relievers combined for the final 3 innings.  Amed Rosario was 2 for 3 with a walk.  Michael Bernal tripled and drove in 2 runs.  Joe Tuschak had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.

 

Elizabethton 5, Kingsport 2

 

Gaby Almonte took the loss after allowing 5 runs on 7 hits over 6 innings.  Pedro Perez was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Jean Rodriguez and Luis Ortega had 2 hits each.

 

GCL Cardinals 2, GCL Mets 1 (ended after 5 innings)

 

Rafael Montero made his first rehab appearance, but only threw 4 innings before the rains came, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.
