Last night on the farm, the wins just kept on coming, at least for most of the organization.  Let’s have a look:


Las Vegas 7, Albuquerque 5


Logan Verrett won his 10th game of the season, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, after which the 51s needed 4 relievers to get the final 6 outs.  Matt Reynolds was 3 for 5 with a double.  Taylor Teagarden was 2 for 3 with a homer and 3 RBI’s.  Allan Dykstra, Andrew Brown, and Cory Vaughn all doubled.


Binghamton 3, Harrisburg 0


Steven Matz tossed 7 scoreless innings, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5.  Randy Fontanez struck out 3 in 2 shutout innings to get the save.  Brandon Nimmo was 2 for 3 with a triple, walk, and RBI.  Travis Taijeron and Wilfredo Tovar both doubled.  Dilson Herrera was 1 for 4.


Bradenton 2, St. Lucie 1


Domingo Tapia took the loss, despite allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, although he walked 3 and struck out 2.  St. Lucie had just 3 total hits.  Jeff McNeil tripled; Jared King doubled; and Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 1 with a walk and RBI.


Savannah 6, Augusta 4 (7 innings, rain)


Alex Panteliodis scattered 8 hits over 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (1 earned).  Yeixon Ruiz was 4 for 4 with an RBI.  Dominic Smith was 2 for 3 with a walk.  Jorge Rivero and Nelfi Zapata had 2 hits each.  Champ Stuart was 0 for 4 , as his August slump continues.


Brooklyn 5, Batavia 2


Alberto Baldonado struck out 7 over 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits.  Josh Prevost followed with 3 shutout innings.  Amed Rosario was 2 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Jhoan Urena, Jeff Diehl, and Pedro Perez had 2 hits each.  Michael Conforto was 0 for 3 with 2 strikeouts.


Kingsport 7, Johnson City 4


Persio Reyes lasted 4 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, but Matt Blackham threw 3 shutout innings to finish the game and get the win.  Branden Kaupe, Jean Rodriguez, and Zach Mathieu had 2 hits each.  Wuilmer Becerra was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks.
