Las Vegas 6, Iowa 4

 

John Lannan got the win, going 6 innings and allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, striking out 5.  Matt Reynolds tripled twice and drove in 3 runs.  Josh Satin was 2 for 3 with a double.  Cory Vaughn and Cesar Puello both doubled.

 

Erie 7, Binghamton 4 (Game 1, 7 innings)

 

Greg Peavey had a rare off night for the B-Mets, allowing 5 runs over 6 innings and taking the loss.  Brandon Nimmo, Dilson Herrera, Brian Burgamy, and Darrell Ceciliani all had 2 hits.

 

Erie 8, Binghamton 6 (Game 2, 7 innings)

 

Angel Cuan allowed 6 runs over 3 innings to take the loss, with Hansel Robles giving up 2 more.  Jayce Boyd was 3 for 4 with a double.  Darrell Cecilian and Xorge Carillo were both 2 for 3 with a double.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 4 with a double, walk, and RBI.  Dilson Herrera was 0 for 2 with 3 walks.  Travis Taijeron hit a 3-run homer.

 

St. Lucie 6, Fort Myers 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)

 

Michael Fulmer let up 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings while striking out 5, as he continues a strong second half.  Jared King was 4 for 4 with a double.  Maikis De La Cruz was 2 for 5 with a double.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 1 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored.

 

Fort Myers 7, St. Lucie 3 (Game 2, 7 innings)

 

Kevin McGowan lasted just 2.2 innings, giving up 7 runs on 5 hits and 5 walks.  Cam Maron and Maikis De La Cruz had 2 hits each.  Gavin Cecchini was 0 for 2 with a walk.

 

Savannah 4, Asheville 1

 

Octavio Acosta went 8 innings, allowing just 1 run to get his first win since his promotion to Savannah.  Akeel Morris struck out 2 in a scoreless 9th to get his 14th save of the season.  Dominic Smith was 0 for 4 with an RBI, as the Gnats scored 4 runs on just 5 hits.

 

Lowell 3, Brooklyn 2 (Game 1, 7 innings)

 

Scarlyn Reyes struck out 7 in 5 innings, but took the loss after giving up 3 runs on 6 hits.  Michael Conforto was 0 for 3 with 2 strikeouts.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

 

Brooklyn 3, Lowell 2

 

Martires Arias truck out 7 over 5.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while Kelly Secrest followed 2.2 shutout innings to get the win.  John Mora, Amed Rosario, Michael Conforto, and Jhoan Urena all had 2 hits.

 

Kingsport 10, Bristol 4

 

Andrew church struck out 4 over 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits.  Vicente Lupo was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, a homer, and 4 RBI’s.  Wuilmer Becerra and Oswald Caraballo also homered.

 

GCL Mets 4, GCL Nationals 0

 

Jose Celas struck out 6 in 5 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit, while the bullpen allowed 1 hit in 4 shutout innings.  Milton Ramos was 2 for 4 with a triple and 3 RBI’s.
