Another night on the farm when wins were hard to come by, but there were plenty of silver linings, let’s try to find them: Las Vegas 3, New Orleans 2Rafael Montero threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and no walks, striking out 8.  Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Eric Campbell each had 2 hits, including a double.  Travis d’Arnaud was 1 for 3 with a walk and strikeout. Binghamton 9, Reading 3Greg Peavey gave up 3 runs over 6 innings to get the win.  Hamilton Bennett is back in AA and threw 2 hitless innings, striking out 2.  Alonzo Harris was 3 for 4 with a double.  Danny Muno, Wilfredo Tovar, and Xorge Carrillo all had 2 hits each.  Darrell Ceciliani tripled and drove in 2 runs.  Travis Taijeron walked twice and drove in 2 runs. Fort Myers 5, St. Lucie 3Matt Bowman took the loss, lasting just 4.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.  Robbie Shields was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles.  T.J. Rivera, Jayce Boyd, and Charley Thurber had 2 hits each. Rome 4, Savannah 3Julian Hilario made another start, lasting 5.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 3 with a walk and a run scored.  Maikis De La Cruz had 2 RBI’s, but the Gnats managed just 4 singles all game. Hudson Valley 6, Brooklyn 4Dawrin Frias got the start and only gave up 2 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, but Kevin McGowan allowed 4 runs in .2 innings.  Gavin Cecchini was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, extending his hitting streak to 13.  James Roche homered and drove in 3 runs. Bristol 4, Kingsport 2Robert Whalen allowed 4 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits over 7 innings, allowing 1 walk and striking out 7.  Jeff Diehl was 2 for 4 with a double and triple.  Joe Tuschak also had 2 hits.  Yeixon Ruiz doubled. GCL Cardinals 12, GCL Mets 2Craig Missigman started and gave up 3 runs over 5 innings.  Christian Montgomery made his season debut and allowed 7 run (5 earned) in 1 inning of work, giving him an ERA of 45.  Wuilmer Becerra was 1 for 3 with a double and run scored.
