Last night on the farm, Michael Fulmer made his B-Mets debut, the Gnats bats stayed hot, and an all-star game ended in a tie.  Let’s take a look:


Las Vegas 10, Omaha 4


Cory Mazzoni lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, striking out 3.  Matt Reynolds and Josh Satin had 3 hits each.  Danny Muno was 3 for 4 with a 3-run homer.  Taylor Teagarden and Kevin Plawecki had 2 hits each.  The 51s magic number is down to 3.


Erie 7, Binghamton 0


Michael Fulmer made his AA debut, but lasted just 3.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits, walking 3 and striking out 1.  Dilson Herrera and Wilfredo Tovar both had 2 hits.  Herrera and Brandon Nimmo both doubled.  The B-Mets are 2 games out of first place, but their magic number to clinch a playoff spot is down to 2.


Charlotte 11, St. Lucie 8


Angel Cuan went 4 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits; he was followed by Robert Coles, who allowed 5 runs in 1.1 innings, and later Beck Wheeler gave up 3 runs and took the loss.  L.J. Mazzilli and Eudy Pina had 2 hits each.  Gilbert Gomez doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 4 with a walk.


Savannah 11, Rome 3


Robert Whalen won his 8th game of the season, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, striking out 5.  Paul Paez threw 3.1 scoreless innings to close out the game.  Victor Cruzado was 3 for 5 with a homer and 4 RBI’s.  Patrick Biondi was 3 for 5 with a double.  Yeixon Ruiz, Champ Stuard, Dominic Smith, Matt Oberste, and Colton Plaia all had 2 hits.  Stuart doubled and tripled, but also struck out 3 times.  Savannah has won 6 in a row and 8 of 9.


Greeneville 7, Kingsport 4


Andrew Church lasted 4.2 innings, giving up 6 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits.  Luis Ortega, Vicente Lupo, and Zach Mathieu had 2 hits each.  The K-Mets are tied for the final playoff spot in their division.


GCL Mets 3, GCL Cardinals 2


Erik Manoah started and let up 1 run on 2 hits over 4 innings, despite walking 4.  Nabil Crismatt pitched the final 2.2 innings, striking out 3 and getting the save.  Jairo Perez, Hengelbert Rojas, and Manuel Hilario had 2 hits each.


Marcos Molina started the NYPL all-star game for the South team and threw a scoreless inning.  Corey Oswalt also threw a scoreless inning.  Amed Rosario and Jhoan Urena were both 0 for 2.  The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
