Nick Evans had 2 hits.Binghamton 3, Altoona 0Matt Harvey let up 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4 in 5 shutout innings. His last 2 starts have been his best. He also picked off a runner. Juan Lagares, Michael Fisher, and Raul Reyes all had 2 hits, including a double. Kai Gronauer had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. The Lucies bats were once again absent, collecting only 2 hits. St. Lucie is already going to the playoffs, but their chances of winning a second half title as well are slipping. They are now at .500 and in 4th place during the second half.Savannah 5, Augusta 3Taylor Whitenton started and pitched 3 shutout innings before leaving. Gabriel Zavala got the win and Hamilton Bennett the save after both pitched a scoreless frame. Juan Torres had 3 hits and an RBI. Darrell Ceciliani and Wilfredo Tovar each had 2 hits.Williamsport 5, Brooklyn 1Eduardo Aldama was fine for 6 innings, except for the 3rd inning when he gave up 5 runs. The Cyclones bullpen pitched 3 scoreless innings, including Jeremy Gould who struck out the side in the 8th. Just 3 total hits for Brooklyn, including a double by Charley Thurber.Kingsport 6, Elizabethton 1Juan Urbina gave up 1 run and struck out 6 in 6 innings. The results have been there in 2 of his last 3 outings, and the strikeouts have been there in all 3 outings. The bullpen closed out the game for the K-Mets with 3 shutout innings. Nearly everybody in the lineup had at least 1 hit. Tant Shepherd had 3 hits, including a double and his first professional homerun.
