With Savannah getting rained out and a Binghamton having the night off, we were a little light on games last night, but there was still plenty of action.  Let’s take a look:


Las Vegas 4, Sacramento 2


Logan Verrett tossed 8 shutout innings before giving up a solo homer to the first batter he faced in the 9th.  Gonzalez Germen gave up a run but got the save.  Matt den Dekker was 3 for 4 with a solo homer.  Allan Dykstra and Cesar Puello both doubled.


St. Lucie 10, Clearwater 4


Domingo Tapia struck out 5 in 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits.  Three different relievers combined for 3.2 shutout innings.  Maikis De La Cruz was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Jeff McNeil was 2 for 5 with a double.  L.J. Mazzilli was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Gavin Cecchini was 0 for 3 with a walk and RBI.  Cole Frenzel was 2 for 3 with a homer.


Brooklyn 4, Connecticut 3


Casey Meisner continues his string out strong outings, going 6 innings and giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits, striking out 6 without any walks.  Shane Bay got the final 4 outs to pick up his 10th save of the year.  John Mora was 2 for 4 with a double.  Jhoan Urena and Adrian Abreu also doubled.  Michael Conforto was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Amed Rosario was 0 for 4.


Pulaski 6, Kingsport 4


Audry German lasted just 2.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits.  Eudor Garcia and Vicente Lupo had 2 hits each.  Zach Mathieu doubled and drove in 2 runs, but he also struck out 3 times.


GCL Mets 2, GCL Marlins 1 (6 innings, rain)


Kevin Canelon went 4.2 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 2, but Waldo Rodriguez got the win after getting the final out of the 5th.  Milton Ramos was 2 for 3 with a double and RBI; Ramos has caught fire as of late, as the 3rd round pick has 9 hits and 8 RBI’s in his last 7 games.   Dash Winningham also doubled.
