Last night on the farm, the B-Mets swept a double-header, a Savannah pitcher threw a gem, and Las Vegas readjusts to life without Jordany Valdespin.  Let’s have a look: Memphis 5, Las Vegas 3Giancarlo Alvarado took the loss after giving up just 1 run in 5 innings.  D.J. Mitchell gave up 3 runs after walking 3 batters.  Zach Lutz was 2 for 4.  Eric Campbell and Brandon Hicks each doubled.  Francisco Pena hit a 3-run homer. Binghamton 6, Altoona 2 (Game 1, 7 innings)Jon Niese made his final rehab start, throwing 5 innings, and giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts.  He’s expected to pitch Sunday in Arizona.  Adam Kolarek struck out 4 in 2 shutout innings.  Cory Vaughn was 2 for 3 with a double, homer, and 3 RBI’s.  Travis Taijeron also homered.  Danny Muno, Travis d’Arnaud, and Josh Rodriguez all had doubles. Binghamton 6, Altoona 1 (Game 2, 7 innings)Mark Cohoon pitched a complete game, allowing just 1 unearned run.  Cory Vaughn had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s, completing a good return to AA.  Blake Forsythe doubled and drove in a run. Savannah 1, Charleston 0Gabriel Ynoa threw 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits, no walks and striking out 5.  Beck Wheeler struck out 2 to notch his 14th save of the season.  Jorge Rivero drove in the only run of the game.  Albert Cordero was 2 for 3 with a double and scored the only run of the game.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 3 with 2 strikeouts. Connecticut 4, Brooklyn 1Dario Alvarez gave up 4 runs on 4 innings, but only 1 was earned.  Dawrin Frias struck out 9 in 5 scoreless innings.  L.J. Mazilli was 2 for 4 with a double.  Gavin Cecchini also doubled. Pulaski 4, Kingsport 3Persio Reyes took the loss after giving up 4 runs (2 earned) in 7 innings.  Yeixon Ruiz had 2 hits.  Victor Cruzado and Jeyckol De Leon both doubled. GCL Mets 4, GCL Marlins 3Casey Meisner struck out 7 in 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits.  Ramon Estevez and Gaither Gumgardner threw 2 shutout innings each.  Leon Canelon was 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBI’s.
