There were a number of quality pitching performances on the farm last night, unfortunately Noah Syndergaard didn’t have one of them.  Let’s take a look:


Albuquerque 6, Las Vegas 2


Noah Syndergaard went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and talking the loss while allowing 4 walks and striking out 4.  Jack Leathersich gave up a run in .1 of an inning in his Vegas return.  Matt den Dekker was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk.  Matt Reynolds and Cesar Puello also had 2 hits, with Puello and Kevin Plawecki hit homeruns.


Binghamton 3, Richmond 0


Matthew Bowman threw 6 shutout innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 walk, striking out 6.  Hansel Robles struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings and Cody Satterwhite notched save 12 on the season.  Brian Burgamy was 3 for 4 with a double.  Jayce Boyd doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Dustin Lawley and Wilfredo Tovar also doubled.  Neither Brandon Nimmo nor Dilson Herrera was in the lineup.


Fort Myers 6, St. Lucie 2


Michael Fulmer struck out 7 in 5 innings, but he took the loss after giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits.  Cam Maron doubled twice, while both Jared King and Gavin Cecchini homered.


Augusta 10, Savannah 9 (10 innings)


Savannah scored 5 runs in the top of the 1st inning, but couldn’t hold on for the win.  Logan Taylor allowed 3 runs on 7 hits over 6.2 innings, then John Mincone let up 6 runs (4 earned) in .2 innings before Akeel Morris gave up an unearned run in the 10th.  Dominic Smith was 2 for 5.  Colton Plaia had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s.


Brooklyn 4, Mahoning Valley 0


Martires Arias threw 6 shutout innings in his Brooklyn debut, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6.  Brad Wieck struck out 5 in 2 hitless innings.  Michael Conforto was 2 for 5 with a double and RBI.  Jhoan Urena was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Amed Rosario was 1 for 5.


Kingsport 8, Bristol 7 (completed from July 14)


Blake Taylor started this game way back when, allowing 4 runs in 2.1 innings, but Jimmy Duff finished it with 3 shutout innings to get the win.  Wuilmer Becerra finished the game 2 for 3 with 2 homers.


Kingsport 3, Bristol 2


Andrew Church had another good outing, allowing 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, striking out 5.  Luis Guillorme, Oswald Caraballo, and Wuilmer Becerra had 2 hits.  Branden Kaupe was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Luis Ortega homered.


GCL Mets 5, GCL Cardinals 3


Tyler Badamo let up 1 run on 3 hits over 5 innings, striking out 5.  Alex Paisha notched his 8th save of the season.  Raphael Ramirez, Arnald Berrios, and Manuel Hilario had 2 hits each.
