Josh Satin led the way with 3 hits, including 2 doubles. Val Pascucci hit a 3-run homer. Even Matt Den Dekker had a productive day, going 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s, upping his average to .198. Lucas Duda sat this one out, but no promotion or injury has been reported. Chris Schwinden pitched all 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 3. Schwinden has had several quality starts since rejoining the Bisons after being DFA four times in a month’s time. Binghamton 6, New Britain 4 Greg Peavey toughed it out for 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits and getting the win. Jeff Kaplan pitched 1.2 scoreless innings and Ryan Fraser pitched a scoreless 9th for the save; Fraser has been real good over the last month. Reese Havens was the DH from the leadoff spot and went 4 for 5. Wilmer Flores was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Jefry Marte had 2 hits, including a double. St. Lucie 5, Palm Beach 2 Tyler Pill mysteriously lasted just 2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. Jack Leathersich struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings. Jeff Walters and Hamilton Bennett also had 2 scoreless innings each. Taylor Whitenton got the save after a hitless 9th. Richard Lucas and Blake Forsythe had 2 hits each. Forsythe hit a 3-run homer to put the Lucies up for good. Savannah played a scoreless inning before their game was suspended. They will play a doubleheader tonight. Lowell 3, Brooklyn 1 Luis Cessa gave up 2 homeruns, accounting for all 3 runs, in 6 innings of work. Matthew Bowman pitched 2 shutout innings of relief, striking out 3. Just 3 total hits for the Cyclones, including doubles by Eudy Pina and Stefan Sabol. Brandon Nimmo was absent yet again. Kingsport was rained out.
