According to Adam Rubin: "Angel Pagan has settled on a $1.45 million contract for 2010. That leaves the Mets with no more arbitration-eligible players. Pagan had filed arbitration for $1.8 million, with the Mets countering at $1.275 million."Seems like a bargain for a guy who is our current starting CF.   I hope this is the year that Pagan puts together a full year of good baseball.According to Jerry Crasnick's Twitter Page: "The Mets are close to agreement on a minor league deal with (former Met) Mike Jacobs. He'll go to camp on a non-roster invite."This move is a little confusing.   Jacobs has the LH power the Mets are missing and could fill a bench role.   However, it seems as though the Mets would be more likely to have a backup 1B be RH instead of LH.   If you Jacobs fans remember, he came in as a catcher and played the position in the minors as recently as 2005.   Is it possible that he is coming in as a guy who can also be the 3rd catcher?
