Chris Young was in enemy territory tonight  at Citizens Bank Park and had Vance Worley as an opponent.  It looked like another nice night for the Phillies but the Mets had other plans. The Mets got on the board first and where really poised for a big inning.  Tejada started it all with a single,  Daniel Murphy would push him to second with his base hit and David Wright would punch a ball through a hole near the shortstop scoring Tejada for his 77th RBI.  The Mets would be denied more runs, even though they had runners on first and second with no outs. With a one run lead, Chris Young decided to melt down in the bottom of the first when he gave up a grand slam to Ryan Howard.  Young figured he'd spot the Phillies four runs because he wanted to make every die hard Met fan sweat the game out.  The Mets had to crawl back....and to no one's surprise( ha ha) they did.Chris Young would battle through the next four innings to keep the Phillies from tacking on, but it would cost him.  He didn't make the fifth inning forcing the Mets to go to their bullpen.Vance Worley had similar problems....his pitch count elevated as well when, in the top of the fourth inning, he gave up a two run bomb to Mike Baxter pulling the Mets to within one run.  Tejada would lead off the top of the fifth with a double and scored when Wright hit a sac fly thus knotting the game at four and chasing Worley from the game. The Phillies would take the lead again but they couldn't hold it past the eighth inning when David Wright would score from first on a double. The Mets blew the game out in the top of the tenth when they threw up a four spot.   David Wright hit a bloop base hit and scored when Ike Davis hit a RBI double.  Lucas Duda hit a single and Davis, who ran through the STOP sign at third, scored the seventh run of the game.  Kelly Shoppach would put the final  nail in the Phillie coffin when he would go yard with a two spot putting the Mets up by four.Bobby Parnell would come in and close the game out without issue.  The final score Mets 9 Phillies 5
