Mets come back to win against the Padres 5-4. Chris started the night for the Mets and was a bit shaky, going 6 while giving up 4 runs. Mets would fight back to tie the game 2-2 in the 4th with a Hairston double and a Paulino sac fly. Cap would immediately give up the lead in the next inning and the Padres went up 4-2. That score stood up until the 8th inning. Pagan opened the frame with a home run to get the Mets within one. Turner and Wright followed with singles and last nights hero Lucas Duda layed down a perfect sac bunt. The Padres elected to walk Bay to pitch to Evans but Nick executed textbook fundies and hit a sac fly to tie the game. After a walk to Paulino, Ruben Tejada put up a hellova at bat to work a bases loaded walk to put the Mets in front. Jason came in and got a 1-2-3 9th inning for his 299th save and consecutive come from behind wins late...all while losing two very big pieces of the Mets to start the series. They may not have much of a shot to go to the post season but man theres no doubt these guys give it all every night.
