The stage was set for R.A. Dickey....He was facing the Marlins, a team he had beaten five time this season.  The weather woudn't be a factor becasue the match was inside. The Marlins had 2-5 Jacob Turner on the bump. It's too bad the Mets couldn't find any bats in the dugout until the top of the eighth inning after Dickey had left the game down by three. Jacob Turner, on the other hand,  shut the Mets down for 7 innings tonight. It was a scoreless game, that is, until Gorky Hernandez hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. Rob Brantly hit his third home run of the year in the bottom of the fifth to add to the Marlin lead of 2-0.Then there was a time in this game that baseball really meant nothing. Adam Greenberg, hit in the head by a fastball 7 years ago, made his first plate appearance and struck out.  But the crowd went wild. The Marlins would add another run making the score 3-0.It was in the top of the eighth inning when the Mets found their bats and again, like so many other times, it began with a Valdespin one out double followed by a Daniel Murphy single that put runners on the corners for the Amazin's.  Heath "I hate the Mets" Bell was called in by Ozzie and gave up a single to David Wright putting the Mets on the board.  Ike "don't trade me" Davis drew a walk to load the bases for Scott Hairston who, after Bell threw a wild pitch to score Murphy from third, hit an infield hit to knot the game at three apiece.Jose Reyes would lead off the bottom of the 11th with a triple over the head of Andres Torres.  The Mets would walk both Stanton and Lee to load the bases and score on a base hit up the middle. The Mets play their last game tomorrow at 4 pm.
