Jon loses game, could still have 8 niecesAll good things come to those who wait must come to an end.   So it is for the Mets 5 game winning streak.   The Colorado Rockies broke out of their slump and beat the New York Mets 4-2 in the 2nd game of a day-night doubleheader.   Met starter Jon Niese showed signs he was tiring in the 6th and didn't survive the 7th, leaving after allowing 2 runs that broke a 1-1 tie and then watching as the baserunner he passed on to reliever Brian Stokes came in to score and make it 4-2 Rockies.Mark it down, Mets hearts Ripa-ed outThe Mets took the lead when surging Jeff Francoeur hit a sacrifice fly to drive in David Wright in the 4th inning.   Wright lead off that inning with a double and was called safe on his attempted steal of third although replays showed not only that the ball clearly beat him to the bag, but that it appeared he was tagged out on the wrist before he touched the bag.   But that good fortune did not last til the end of the game for the Mets.Troy Tulowitzki seems like a nice young man JessicaIn the 6th the Rockies tied it up when Troy Tulowitzki walked and scored on a single by Ryan Spilborghs.   Then in the 7th, Rockies starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa led off with a double and one out later Clint Barmes homered to drive him in.   The next batter Todd Helton singled driving Niese from the game.   Potential future Jessica Simpson boy toy Tulowitzki then tripled driving in Helton. It wasn't quite that horribleIn the end the Mets took 3 of 4 from the Rockies, 1 of the 7 teams ahead of them in the race to the wild card spot and a post season berth.   As of this writing the Mets are now 6 games out of the wild card.   Next up is a 4 game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks who are currently 11.5 out.   The non-waiver trade deadline is tomorrow at 4:00pm eastern time, and it will be interesting to see if there are any changes to the roster. Please visit for the box score.
