The New York Mets called up Pat Misch (0-1) from AAA Buffalo to start tonight's game having recently moved pitcher Hisanori Takahashi to the bullpen.  Misch responded with a decent effort, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks over 6 innings.  But he made a throwing error, Ruben Tejada made a throwing error and David Wright made a fielding error contributing to 3 unearned runs for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Mets offense was impotent against Roy Halladay (15-8) who shut the Mets down over 8 innings, allowing just 4 hits.  Only Philadelphia's 1st run, which assured them they would not be shut out for the 5th consecutive time at Citi Field, was earned.  It came in the 3rd inning when with 2 outs Halladay hit a single to break up Misch's perfect game.  Jimmy Rollins followed with a single and then Placido Polanco singled to drive in Halladay for a 1-0 Phillies' lead.  Ryan Madson made Philly fans mildly tense by loading the bases with 2 outs in the 9th but got Josh Thole to strike out preserving the victory for Halladay.  Final score Philadelphia 4, New York 0.box score
