How about we let the Wild Rumpus start for Buffalo?TRDMB member Hazmet was wondering last night what today's matchup of Tim Lincecum, known as The Freak, and Oliver Perez should be billed as.   In hindsight I submit The Freak versus The Wild Rumpus. Perez stood on the Citi Field mound and showed all Mets fans his wild rumpus this afternoon that's for sure.   Neither starting pitcher was around when Aaron Rowand hit a 2-run homer off Mets reliever Jenrry Mejia (0-2) in the top of the 8th to give the Giants a 6-5 lead, then closer Brian Wilson came on to get the 5-out save.   All 5 of those outs were strikeouts, including 1 of David Wright on a called strike 3 which he objected to so strongly that he was immediately ejected from the game.   The only blemish for Wilson was a wind blown pop-up hit by Jason Bay that fell between the converging Giants fielders but he was stranded on 2nd base as the San Francisco Giants held on for the 6-5 win over the New York Mets.Ollie's favorite showMets starter Perez was wild from the start and it wasn't long before he was out of the game.   Juan Uribe led off the top of the 2nd with a walk.   1 out later Nate Schierholtz singled.   The next batter Matt Downs singled to left driving in Uribe.   Perez then uncorked a wild pitch moving Schierholtz and Downs up to 3rd and 2nd respectively.   Ryan Rohlinger grounded out to short driving in Schierholtz for the Giants 2nd run.   Perez walked his counterpart Lincecum but escaped the inning without further damage when Rowand struck out.   After 1 1/2 innings it was 2-0 Giants.Ollie's favorite movieIn the top of the 3rd Perez walked 2 more batters and hit 1 with a pitch but escaped without allowing any runs.   He failed to do that in the 4th when Rohlinger led off with a walk.   Lincecum grounded into a fielder's choice then Rowand walked.   Perez walked Andres Torres to load the bases and was removed from the game having thrown 99 pitches and walked 7 batters, hit 1 with a pitch, and thrown 1 wild pitch in 3 1/3 innings.   Raul Valdes came on in relief but the wildness stayed in the game.   After Pablo Sandoval lined out Valdes walked Uribe to force in a run.   Rowand then scored on a passed ball charged to Rod Barajas and the Giants led 4-0 after 3 1/2.Prince TimmyThe Mets got to Lincecum in the 6th.   With 1 out Jose Reyes singled then stole 2nd.   Bay followed with a walk.   1 out later Ike Davis singled scoring Reyes.   Jeff Francoeur then singled driving in Bay and after 6 it was 4-2 Giants.   Lincecum had thrown 116 pitches to this point.   He took the   mound to start the 7th inning but once pinch-hitter Gary Matthews Jr. was announced Lincecum was removed and his valiant effort had come to an end.   So did his chance to get a win.   Dan Runzler relieved and struck out Matthews Jr.   Angel Pagan then singled.   Fernando Tatis pinch-hit for Alex Cora and walked.   Reyes followed drawing a walk and loading the bases and that ended Runzler's appearance.Uh oh, I think that's the wrong RomoSergio Romo (1-3) came on in relief for San Francisco.   He was about as successful in the clutch as Tony Romo.   He immediately gave up a 2-run single to Bay tying the score, then Wright hit a sacrifice fly to give the Mets a 5-4 lead after 7 innings.Box score
