The Savannah Sand Gnats took a 2-1 series lead over Hagerstown Thursday night with a 6-0 win at home.  The Gnats scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning, 2 in the 4th, 1 in the 5th, and 1 in the 6th.  Jeff Reynolds had 3 hits and 3 RBI's.  Cole Frenzel had 2 hits and scored 3 runs.  Stefan Sabol tripled and drove in 2 runs.  Meanwhile, Gabriel Ynoa, who won 15 games during the regular season, pitched another gem, throwing 7 shutout innings, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5.  Jeurys Familia struck out 2 in a scoreless 8th inning and Estarlin Morel pitched a scoreless 9th inning.

With the win, the Gnats are 1 win away from winning the South Atlantic League championship.  Steven Matz is scheduled to take the mound at Historic Grayson Stadium Friday night with a chance to win the series.  Last Friday night against Augusta, Matz allowed 1 hit in 7 innings, while striking out 8.
