A win is a win and especially with yesterdays game - I'll take it ! But note to Jerry - let your starting pitchers work out of tough jams late in the game !! Yes Johan had two players on with a tough batter at the plate that represented the tying and go ahead run - but there were two outs and the Giants are a free swinging team ! In my opinion that is a chance that you have to take, especially with the fact that Johan only threw 101 pitches through 8 2/3 innings. And if you do decide that you are going to take him out why put in a pitcher (Fernando Neive
) that has pitched in nearly every game this season, who might be tired , spent, or even maybe - just maybe there is now a book on how to hit Fernando . I personally feel that if Jerry was to take Johan out of the game then he should have brought in Mejia. Jerry said that he wants to see more from the rookie, and that he would put him into more high pressure situations - well I think that part of the eighth inning would have been the perfect time. All I can say is thank all that is good and pure for both Henry Blanco & Rod Barajas, because if Brian Schneider was still playing on this team , we would be under .500. By the way the aforementioned Schneider was placed on the D.L. by the Phillies yesterday with a elbow problem. Like I said - he's their problem now.
"If Jerry keeps overusing the bullpen we will need a pacemaker !"
And with that said... HERE COMES THE INFAMY !!!!
Happy Birthday wishes go out to utility player from the '67-'68 team ,Jerry Buchek (1942) .New York Mets traded original Mets catcher,Hobie Landrith to the Baltimore Orioles for Mets legend " Marvelous

I remember being heartbroken when this happened, because the team was starting to do extremely well- and I wanted Craig to finally play on a winning team, but his arm was about to fall off , and he was never the same pitcher after rotator cuff surgery.

Unfortunately Lawrence didn't distinguish himself with the Mets, pitching in six games with the Mets with a e.r.a of over nine. And just asking , whos fatter? Mo Vaughn, Bengie Molina or Pablo Sandoval ?
