I am starting to think that maybe having the west coast games starting after 9:30 pm might be a good thing, because it saves us from sitting through yet another ugly Mets loss. All I can say is I might not have given up on the season - but this is getting ugly !!! I guess the only thing that we can take solace in is that both the Braves and Phillies lost last night, and that the recently over taxed bullpen held the fort down until Fernando Nieve gave up the walk off single to Chris Snyder, which sealed the Diamondbacks three game sweep of the Mets. All I can say is This is getting very ugly very quick guys , and now we are going up against the Los Angeles Dodgers - a far superior team than the D'backs. I feel these next four games will possibly define how the rest of the season plays out. I feel that if the Mets continue this free-fall, the front office will not make any significant trades come the July 31st deadline, and hence turn their focus on winning in '11 while conceding '10.If this plays out , it wouldn't surprise me to see Oliver Perez back in the starting rotation, and winding up in third place to end the year.Jerry Manuel hel a fifteen minute closed door meeting before the game . What they discussed I don't know , they might have debated the effects of gravity and its dangerous consequences. But if it was either a pep talk or to lace into them for their shoddy play, well it just didn't work.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          "Please don't let the season end like this !!!"                                                                                                                                                                And with that said....
