Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported here that the Toronto Blue Jays are open to trading ace starter Roy Halladay.Photographer: Dave SandfordCaption: TORONTO - AUGUST 14: Roy Halladay #32 of the Toronto Blue Jays celebrates his complete game win against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on August 14, 2007 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
"We have to see what's out there," Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi says. "I'm not saying we're going to shop him. But if something makes sense, we at least have to listen. We're (leaning) more toward listening than we've ever been."
Never missing an  opportunity to stick it to Mets fans, Rosenthal adds:
Mets. If you were Halladay, would you approve a trade to a team that currently is without center fielder Carlos Beltran, shortstop Jose Reyes and first baseman Carlos Delgado? A team that hasn't exactly distinguished itself the past two Septembers?
Rosenthal speculates it would take the Mets top three prospects (Fernando Martinez, Wilmer Flores, and Brad Holt) to get Roy Halladay.
  1. If you were Omar Minaya, would you do this trade?
  2. If not, who would you be willing to part with?
  3. Who do you see getting Halladay?
