  • Are you serious? The Yankees have been playing better baseball then most of the MLB. The offense has been unbelievable. I can't believe you said they would finish 4th with the Red Sox having 1 win and the Rays have 0. This was recorded by your yesterday too. Wow

  • I have to agree, The Yankees are still a playoff team, The Rays are off to a horrible start and personally I don't see them getting much better. The Yankees will make the playoffs this year, and probably for many years to come.

  • Yankees drop 2 of 3 to the BoSox, who couldn't scrape out a win against the Indians or the Royals? You really think we can project this season based off of week one? Not even you believe that.

  • Yes, so what makes you say the Yankees, who are the most successful team in any of the big 4 (NHL,NBA,NFL, MLB), will not make the playoffs when they practically lost nothing

  • Brad, I will give you this. I like your final debate much better than the first. I just don't see it happening. For my money, I take the BoSox in the East and the Pale Hose and Twins to come out of the central. Still, good points and stand behind your team. Just don't drink the kool-aid so much that you can't identify their weaknesses from time to time. Reichman, they lost practically nothing but gained less. This Yankee team is getting older by the minute. Cano is the real deal and I still think Jeter is worth every penny, but for his mind, not his abilities. The team is built on aging stars whose best days are behind them. It's a changing of the guard in the American League, and The Boss is rolling over in his grave because his boys can't run this thing right.

  • Here's the thing that no one mentioned. You have a Yankee team that's main flaw might be starting pitching. Over the long haul, that lineup will hit even if they are cold now. It's an impressive lineup, maybe the best in baseball. Yes, I like it better than Boston's as I believe it is deeper and you have to like Andruw Jones and Eric Chavez off the bench as very capable replacements. The hole is probably rotation since the bullpen is excellent as well. Thing is, the Yankees have A LOT of really good prospects that they can dangle for starting pitching. If they are close come July (and they will be if not leading the division at that time), they can make a move then to really solidify that rotation. There's no way the Yankees aren't competing for the playoffs and if they are in the hunt, you can't say in April that they absolutely, positively won't make the playoffs. That's incredibly silly and I expect better from a St. Louis fan.
