Calling their Buff:  Before the season started, Oregon State probably penciled in a comfortable home win against Colorado this week.  After all, the Buffs had served as the panacea for whatever ailed their opponents during their tenure in the Pac-12.  That may be the case no longer, as a new coach and a 2-0 record have infused the former cellar dwellers with optimism.  Neither of those wins came against a marquee opponent,  but the Beavers very nearly suffered two embarrassing losses in their first four games to teams well below their quality.  (They lost to FCS Eastern Washington and needed a fourth-quarter rally against 0-3, non-AQ San Diego State.)  Oregon State has lived on the edge all season, combining an explosive passing attack with a porous defense and inconsistent running game.  With three ranked teams, Arizona State, and USC still ahead, the Beavers cannot afford any more missteps.  Meanwhile, Colorado might start thinking about bowl games if they score the road upset.  Yes, we just put “Colorado” and “bowl” in the same sentence.  Colorado at Oregon State, 12 PM, Pac-12 Network
